What to Expect From Us
Once you’ve established the presence of mold and remediation has been scheduled, there are several steps that will occur. Mold removal is a detailed process when done correctly and normally takes as little as a day to several weeks depending on the severity and scope of work needed. Here’s what you can expect from our mold removal team:
We arrive every day between 8:15 and 8:30 am unless a different time window is scheduled.
We will isolate the affected areas and set negative air control and scrubbers to avoid cross contamination, so the area where there is mold will be unaccessible for the duration of the job.
We will HEPA vacuum all growth areas to remove loose particulate prior to any manipulation.
If the mold is on materials like drywall, it will be removed, whereas mold on the structure will be deep cleaned.
Micro-cleaning of contents and the room will be completed after the mold has been removed and all cavities and exposed areas are treated.
We will encapsulate the exposed areas where applicable and then perform a final round of HEPA vacuuming and damp wiping to assure any loose spores are removed after a fogging treatment.

5 Most Common Indoor Molds
Alternaria: A large spore mold that can deposit in the nose, mouth and upper respiratory tract causing an allergic response. Indoors, it is often found in carpets, textiles, house dust and potentially damp areas like window frames and showers. It can also be found in plant soil.
Aspergillus: Usually found in warmer climates in areas of water damage or extreme dampness. Aspergillus species are also commonly found in house dust. Many species produce mycotoxins
which may be associated with disease in humans and some animals. Also found in building materials and in fall leaves and other decomposing matter like compost piles.
Cladosporium: The most commonly identified outdoor fungus, but it can easily enter into the house through the HVAC and other airflow entryways. Stachybotrys requires excessive moisture to thrive (usually running water) and is a slimy black mold.
