Fire Damage Restoration Richboro PA

Our core principles are simple: Integrity, Loyalty, Honesty and Pride in the work we do and the relationships we build with all of our customers.

Cooking and heating are the leading causes of house fires and fire injuries, with the winter  months being peak times for fire-related deaths. And when a fire or smoke damage incident  occurs in your home or business, prompt action is a must. Even after the fire has been  extinguished the damage will still continue. When synthetic materials in both furniture and  flooring are burned, it can create a variety of chemical reactions giving you a small window  between items being salvageable or trash. The professional fire damage restoration of Richboro  team at MSI is here to help.

In addition, our quick arrival time gives a helpful  advantage in the restoration process.

Initial Fire Damage Mitigation Actions

Every minute counts when a fire occurs in a property, so quick action is the first necessary step  in the fire and smoke damage restoration process. Much of the structural damage and lingering  effects from a fire are not immediately apparent, as damage can be hidden in wall cavities and

building assemblies. Our initial plan of action begins after we determine the full extent of the  damage so we can create detailed estimations and accurate loss documentation sheets for  insurance purposes.

Board Up Services

Securing and stabilizing the structure after a fire is the first step in the mitigation process as this covers up vulnerabilities within the building’s envelope to prevent further damage from weather, animal and/or rodent infestation and vandalism.

Content Pack-Out

An item by item inspection determines the salvageability of the contents in the property after the fire has occurred. Each item will be documented for insurance purposes as some items may be cleaned while others may need to be discarded.

Air Quality

The use of air scrubbers equipped with carbon filters and others with HEPA filtration systems are used to trap contaminants circulating in the air even at a microscopic level. These machines can also remove carcinogenic soot particles.

Our 7 Step Fire Damage Restoration Process

At MSI, we use a 7 step fire damage restoration process utilizing the latest equipment and  techniques to ensure the safest, quickest and most reliable fire and smoke cleanup available.  Our fire and smoke damage protocols are:

  1. Assessment – After we are called, we will inspect the property for the full extent of damage,  photograph the damage and catalog all losses while directly working with your adjuster. 2. Board Up – We will board up and/or tarp all places where we can ensure security from  further damage and burglary.
  2. Pack Out – We will pack out and move all contents and furniture which can be restored to  pre-loss conditions.
  3. Water Removal – To extinguish most fires the use of water can cause equal damage to the  structure, so we will mitigate all water damage to the property before mold has an  opportunity to grow.
  4. Removal of Smoke & Soot – We utilize specialized equipment and techniques to remove  smoke and soot from the structure before it settles in and causes more damage. 6. Cleaning & Sanitizing – We will clean all of the restorable items and structures that were  damaged by the fire and also remove odors using industrial air scrubbers, fogging  equipment and ozone machines where applicable.
  5. Restoration – We will have your property ready fro the reconstruction so you can get back  to living or business in a quick, safe and cost efficient manner.

Odor Removal

Odors results from airborne chemicals, gases and tiny particles. Knowing the proper process for  odor removal is imperative and not just masking a smell, but being able to actually remove it  permanently. The odors from a fire or smoke damage are no different, and our IICRC Certified  Odor Removal team at MSI has the experience and know how to properly remove odors from a  fire that can linger forever if not effectively eradicated. Our 4 step odor removal process is as  follows:

  1. Remove the Source: No odor removal effort is effective if the source remains. Odor causing  residues will continue to fester until the source is removed, no matter how many chemical  treatments or masking agent you apply.
  2. Clean Any Residues: Cleaning with the appropriate agents at the source area using  brushes, cleaning pads and/or abrasive pads or a combination so odor causing particles are  removed.
  3. Recreate the Penetration: Replicating the way the malodor traveled through the environment  and then penetrated surfaces by employing cleaning, water-soluble deodorants, wet fogging, hot fogging, gas counteraction or a combination.
  4. Seal Surfaces: Using non-porous sealers to encapsulate the odoriferous molecules and  resulting staining prior to painting are implemented when odor removal is not possible due to  the degree of saturation.

From the moment we step through the door, the fire damage restoration process is tailored to  your needs Our attention to detail and dedicated fire damage restoration team takes pride in  restoring your home to the way it was without any compromise. Joe is amazing. He is easily the most helpful and reliable person I've used for any kind of home services. He responds quickly to all my questions and goes above and beyond to help. After Ida left our basement floor soaked I called several businesses to try to get the remediation process started before the mold went out of control. Joe, the owner of MSI, called me back within the hour, explained that (understandably) they were very busy, but did arrange for someone to assess the damage that day. Joe kept in communication with me, promised he'd get me on the schedule within a couple of days, and did so. Joe and his team were professional, up-front and thorough. The service from MSI was exceptional. There are not many businesses that are still run this way.

I have called on Joe and his team at MSI three times over the past 7 years. Each time, they were prompt to respond, extremely professional, friendly, quick and thorough. This last time we had a water leak from our third floor bathroom that seeped down to our first floor kitchen. It actually was a great relief in the back of my mind to know that I already had a great contractor in mind. I emailed Joe at 4 am on a Sunday morning and he was on the phone with me by 10 am. He squeezed me into his calendar even though he was already booked solid from a hurricane that had blown through our region the previous week. He is just one of those people who you want to have on your speed dial as a homeowner, even if you hope never to have to use his services. Highly recommend him.
