Moisture Mapping123

Many times when a home has been damaged by water you’re dealing with the insurance company who mostly wants to minimize the loss.  This isn’t the case for all insurance carriers, and to give them a break, they do have to deal with fraudulent remediation contractors who remove unnecessary building materials to inflate bills.  But by using the appropriate equipment, such as a moisture meter pictured here and documenting each section tested, total transparency can be gotten between both the home owner and the carrier, leading the claim to be smoother in it’s process.  Even without a water loss being filed under your policy, steps like this make it easier for you as the customer to understand why we the contractor have to remove certain areas.DSCN4365
